The Personal Data Protection Policy (the “Policy“) demonstrates the commitment of Les Celliers de Sion SA – a public limited company registered in the Commercial Register of the Canton of Valais under number CHE-107.395.668, with offices at Route d’Italie 9, 1950 Sion (hereinafter referred to as “Celliers de Sion“or “we) – as data controller, with respect to the privacy and protection of personal data of its users (“Users).
This Policy has been drawn up to inform you of the practices and conditions under which Celliers de Sion collects, uses and stores your personal data (“Personal Data”).Data“).

- the site https://bissegourmand.ch (theBisse Gourmand website“) where tickets for the Bisse Gourmand event are sold;
- the site https://varone.ch (the “Varone site“) on which the Maison Varone is presented;
- the site https://bonvin1858.ch (the “Bonvin site“) on which the Maison Bonvin is presented.

Given the frequent changes in laws and regulations concerning technology and the protection of personal data, this Policy may be updated on a regular basis.
If any provision of this Policy is found to be invalid or in conflict with regulations, it shall be deemed unwritten, but this shall not invalidate the remaining provisions of this Policy.
This Policy applies to data collected :
- Via the Sites ;
- Via telephone calls and e-mails exchanged, or any other electronic messaging tool, between Celliers de Sion and you;
- Via satisfaction questionnaires collected directly or via a dedicated form;
- When you create a user account on the Sites ;
- When you subscribe to the Celliers de Sion Newsletter (the ” Newsletter “) ;
- When you enter a contest using a paper form ;
- When you order wine from Celliers de Sion: verbally, by telephone or by order form.
This Policy does not apply to information collected by third parties or via sites they administer, including via applications or content (including advertisements) that redirect the user to our Sites.

1. What data does Les Celliers de Sion collect?
Depending on the type and purpose of your interaction with Les Celliers de Sion, We may collect the following data:
- Your e-mail address will be required if you wish to create a customer account, communicate with us via the contact forms and/or receive our newsletter;
- Personal data such as your surname, first name, title, date of birth, and telephone number for the creation of a customer account.
- Browsing data This is data relating to the way in which you use the Sites, including: IP address, browser used, browsing time, search history, operating system used, language and pages viewed;
- Data relating to orders Your postal address and bank details for payment and delivery of your order;

When you contact Us by one of the means mentioned above, your exchanges with Les Celliers de Sion are recorded and archived. Details of data retention periods can be found in chapter 5.
Les Celliers de Sion also indirectly collects indirectly your Data by means of cookies. 3. For what purposes do we collect this data?
Data collection may be required in the following situations:
- To comply with contractual agreements ;
- To comply with current laws and regulations;
- In the legitimate interest of Celliers de Sion for the development of their activities and the improvement of their products and services.
It is important to note that certain personal data can only be collected with the user’s consent for processing.
Your Data is collected in order to :

- Respond to your request and establish contact;
- Create your customer account ;
- Send confirmations and documents related to your wine reservations or orders;
- Send you important information about your account, such as purchase invoices and order history;
- Send you our newsletter, but only if you have expressly subscribed to it.

- Meet our legal obligations, manage orders and draw up invoices;
- Ensure the security and traceability of purchases;
- Respond to your requests and establish contact with you;

- Send confirmations and documents relating to your wine reservations or orders;
- Send you information about your account, including purchase invoices and order history;
- Send postal mail for commercial or informational purposes;
- Personalize our commercial offers and our Newsletter, but only if you have expressly subscribed to them;
- To comply with our rights and obligations under our general terms and conditions of sale and for other legal purposes.

Data relating to browsing and use of social networks
Our sites use cookies to collect certain data relating to your browsing on our Sites. To find out about the finalities and data retention periods that may result from this use, please consult chapter 9 Cookies and Tracking.
4. Who processes your data?
Your Data are processed by Celliers de Sion employees and their partners and service providers in charge of :
- Wine sales/ordering management ;
- Site management ;
- Newsletter dispatch ;
- Reservation management ;
- Advertising campaigns;
- Support management, to answer all your questions;
- Billing management ;
- Logistics and delivery.
Furthermore, in the course of our business, in order to facilitate certain processing, your data may be shared with subcontractors, service providers or other third parties, in particular :
For reservation management
Your Data is communicated to the Smeetz reservation management platform. See Smeetz privacy policy.
To manage data storage and wine orders
Celliers de Sion use the “Divalto” sales management software to store data and manage wine orders (tracking and invoicing).
This software is used by Les Celliers de Sion to process orders, manage inventory and store customer data. Divalto and Tebicom may have access to the Data stored in this software.
For payment management
In order to simplify the experience of its users, Celliers de Sion offers the following payment options to make purchases on the sites:
- Online payment by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) for wine tourism reservations and wine orders;
- Payment by TWINT SA only for wine orders.
Payments are handled by the following payment platforms:
- Worldline for payment processing of wine orders. See Wordline’s privacy policy ;
- TWINT SA for payment of wine orders made via the TWINT application. See TWINT SA privacy policy ;
- Adyen, for payment processing of wine tourism bookings via Smeetz. See Adyen’s privacy policy.
Adyen and Worldline are PCI-DSS certified, which guarantees the identity of the payment organization and the confidentiality of data.
Les Celliers de Sion has no access to the bank details processed by these partners.
For refund management
Refunds are made via the aforementioned payment platforms and do not require any additional Data provided by Users.
In rare cases, when reimbursement cannot be made via these platforms, Celliers de Sion may request the IBAN number.
For delivery management
Afin order to ensure that deliveries are made in the right quantity, at the right place and on time, Les Celliers de Sion use the services of two subcontractors:
- VinoLog de la Poste delivers Celliers de Sion wine orders from 6 to 24 bottles of 75cl throughout Switzerland.

Our email campaigns are managed by Brevo, a PCI-DSS-certified company. See Brevo’s privacy policy.
To manage relations with our Partners
Certain Data (maximum First Name, Last Name, Telephone number, E-mail) may be communicated to our partners when required for the performance of the contract.

- Restaurants
- The Saint-Léonard underground lake
Links to third-party sites
The Sites may contain links to various sites and social networking platforms managed on third-party servers by persons or organizations over which Celliers de Sion exercises no control.
Consequently, we cannot be held responsible for the way in which your data is stored or used on the servers of these third parties.
We strongly recommend that you consult the privacy policy applicable to each third-party website you visit via our Sites, in order to understand how your data will be used.
5. How long will your data be kept?
Les Celliers de Sion will only retain your Data for the time necessary to fulfil the finalities set out in Article 3.
This retention period varies according to the Data concerned and the nature and purpose of the collection, which may result in a different duration. In addition, certain legal obligations impose a specific retention period.
If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we will keep your e-mail address until you unsubscribe.
If you contact Les Celliers de Sion via various forms on the websites or if you communicate with us by telephone or e-mail, your Data will be kept for up to five (5) years from the last contact.
As far as your user account is concerned, your billing data will be kept for ten (10) years from the date of your last order.
The rest of your Data will be kept for five (5) years from the date of your request to deactivate your user account.
In the event of a refund, your bank details will be kept for thirteen (13) months from the date of the refund, in the event of any disputes regarding the transaction.
Upon written request from Users, Site accounts will be deactivated and then completely deleted at the end of the aforementioned periods from the day on which We receive the request.
Data collected using cookies will be stored for the period specified in chapter 9 entitled “Cookies and tracking”.
6. How is your data protected?
Your Data is stored on secure servers, protected by firewalls and antivirus software.
We have implemented technical and organizational measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of your Data, in order to protect it against accidental loss, unauthorized access, use, modification or disclosure.
However, due to the specific characteristics of the Internet, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information exchanges on this network.
In this respect, you understand that the security of your information also depends on you. For example, it is your responsibility to keep confidential the Shop password that gives you access to your user account.
7. What are your rights?
In accordance with the provisions of the regulations in force concerning the protection of personal data, in particular the Data Protection Act, you have the following rights:
- Request information about the data we collect and process about you;
- Correct your data ;
- Request the deletion of your Data (which may not be possible due to legal or contractual obligations);
- Revoke your consent for processing operations based on this basis (e.g. newsletter);
- Establish instructions concerning the fate of your Data in the event of your death;
- Appeal to a judicial authority or to the Federal Data Protection Commissioner if you believe that we have not complied with our obligations.
As the party responsible for processing your Data, Les Celliers de Sion reserves the right to ask you to prove your identity. Please note that the data used to prove your identity will be deleted once we have responded to your request.

We promise to respond to your request within one month. However, if the application is complex or if there is a large number of applications, this deadline may be extended by two months.
8. Where is your data processed?
Lhe Data collected as part of the use of the Sites are hosted by the Infomaniak company. – Rue Eugène-Marziano 25 – 1227 Geneva – Switzerland, whose servers are located in Switzerland.

Data collected for the purpose of sending newsletters is hosted by Brevo – SENDINBLUE – 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France, whose databases are located exclusively within the European Union, on their own servers, on Google Cloud.

Lhe data collected for wine tourism bookings is hosted by Smeetz – Rue de Lausanne 64 – 1020 Renens.

As a result, your Data may be transferred outside Switzerland.
By using the Sites, you accept that your Data may be transferred to these servers.
9. Cookies and tracking ?
When you visit or use the Sites, Les Celliers de Sion or its service providers may use cookies or other tracking/tracing/automatic data collection technologies. This is done in order to store information that will enable us to offer you a better, faster and more secure experience.
